Highlights in Our Journey!

I’m incredibly honoured to share that Pet Care by Vet Tech Katie was recently featured in the RVT Journal—something I never imagined would happen, especially only a year and a half into this journey. Seeing my story and my mobile pet care business acknowledged in such a meaningful way truly moved me beyond words.

The RVT Journal has always been a publication that celebrates, supports, and uplifts the incredible work Registered Veterinary Technicians do. To see my story among so many inspiring RVTs feels surreal in the most emotional way. When I first became an RVT, I never imagined my journey would someday be shared here — a journey inspired by my love for animals, shaped by the lessons and heartbreak of caring for my own dog, and built on a dream to provide comfort and compassionate care right where pets feel safest: at home.

What touches me the most about this feature is the recognition itself. The acknowledgement that what I’m doing truly matters. That this work, this little mobile business built from the heart, is making a real difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them. Knowing that my efforts to ease anxiety, support seniors, and bring gentle, stress-free care to families are seen and valued means more to me than I can ever express.

To the OAVT and The RVT Journal: thank you for shining a light on the many beautiful paths RVTs can take, and for recognizing how impactful in-home care can be.

And to my clients, supporters, and community: thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your trust, your kindness, and for allowing me into your homes and your pets’ lives. You are the reason this dream grew. You are the reason I get to do what I love every single day.
