Who We Are
About Me
Hi, I’m Katie — a Registered Veterinary Technician from Cottam, Ontario, and a lifelong animal lover. Ever since I was little, my family and friends have called me “Dr. Dolittle” because I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. Whether it was rescuing strays or spending hours learning how to care for them, I knew early on that my heart belonged in animal care.

I graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at St. Clair College in 2018, then went on to successfully complete the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). From there, I became a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT). To maintain this designation, I complete 20 Continuing Education (CE) credits every 24 months—ensuring my skills and knowledge are always current so I can provide the best care possible.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience working in both small animal practice and animal research, but my true passion is providing pets with gentle, stress-free care right in the comfort of their own homes.

My inspiration to start pet care by vet tech katie came from my own dog, Kaito, who struggled with anxiety during grooming and vet visits. Watching him become stressed in those environments made me realize how many pets feel the same way — and how much better care could be when it happens where they feel safest.

With my veterinary training and deep understanding of animal behavior, I combine professional expertise with gentle, fear-free handling to make every visit as calm and positive as possible. From nail trims to wellness care, I bring patience, empathy, and plenty of treats (and peanut butter!) to every appointment.
Kaito reminded me that compassion and trust go hand in hand — and that’s the heart behind everything I do.
